The 20 fibromyalgia patients were treated four times

During the study, the 20 fibromyalgia patients were treated with vaporized cannabis. Three variants of real cannabis were administered and a placebo, or a fake drug, was used. Of the three variants of real cannabis, two contained a high level of THC and one a high level of CBD. No active ingredients were processed for the placebo, only the taste and smell were imitated. The 20 fibromyalgia patients were therefore unable to determine when the placebo was or was not administered. Each participant in the study received each variant once.

Pain relief from cannabis with high THC content

What was striking about the results of the study is that the cannabis with the high THC content was the best at relieving the pain in the 20 fibromyalgia patients. A pressure test was performed, in which pressure was applied to a certain spot on the hands. After the cannabis with the high THC content was used, the pain was much more bearable.
